When you use PayrollMatcher, we collect the information you provide: your name, business email, company name, state, and answers to the payroll questionnaire. We also log which providers were shown to you, which provider links you clicked on, and related recommendation metadata such as provider position and match score.

When available, we also store basic acquisition context tied to your visit or submission, such as the landing page, referring site, and URL campaign parameters (for example UTM tags).

We use your information to generate your payroll software recommendations, improve the quality of our matching, and understand which recommendation sets lead to useful outbound clicks. We use recommendation and click data for product analytics and monetization analysis, not for ad targeting.

We may receive compensation from some providers if a visitor chooses to click through and later becomes a customer, but those commercial relationships do not change the fit rules or matching process used to generate recommendations.

We use acquisition context to understand which pages, search themes, and campaigns bring in useful traffic so we can improve the site and the matcher.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. When you click through to a payroll provider, that provider receives no information from us. You arrive on their site as a regular visitor.

Your information is stored in a secured database hosted on Neon, a managed PostgreSQL provider. We retain lead submissions, recommendation analytics, and click records only as long as reasonably necessary to operate, measure, and improve PayrollMatcher, unless you request deletion earlier.

We try to minimize personal data in our analytics. Recommendation instrumentation is primarily tied to provider IDs, lead IDs, match positions, and timestamps so we can measure usefulness without sending your questionnaire responses to third-party ad networks.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To do so, email us at privacy@payrollmatcher.com with the subject line "Data Request" and include the email address you used when submitting the form.

We do not use tracking cookies. We use a lightweight, cookieless analytics tool called Umami to understand how visitors use the site. It collects no personal data and is not used for advertising or ad targeting. No data is shared with advertising networks.
